Show Time!

Things I am looking forward to:
Ricky Gervais as host...please let him have written his own dialogue
The Glee Cast is suppose to sing
Jane Lynch and Mo'Nique's acceptance speeches
Take a drink every time they say Haiti

  • RG is promoting the office box set...awesome.......and has a beer stored below his podium....more awesome
  • Yay Mo'Nique..."This is a sweet speech" - Jon
  • Mikey Rourke's hat takes up half the speech....William Hurt's beard is crazy but his son is pretty cute...John Lithgow took the long way round to the stage. He has a voice I could listen to all day. "{John Lithgow} is giving us the finger"-Jon
  • They couldn't pick a better song to introduce Paul McCartney to than "Yellow Submarine"? And Mike Tyson is there? What is the world coming to?
  • Gervais is killing it so far....just figured out why Tyson is there; think he's hoping The Hangover will win so he gets to go up on stage and hit on Ms. Golden Globe
  • Picked Hugh Laurie to win by happy that Michael C Hall won instead....not as happy that Julianne Marguiles won; True Blood all the way
  • Awkward moment #1- RG makes fun of Paul McCartney for his divorce followed by Cher Christina Aguliera together
  • Awkward moment #2- T.Bone Burnett runs off the stage and Cher and Christina are still standing at the podium
  • Bill Paxton looks very handsome tonight...just FYI
  • I love when Meryl Streep gets togive an acceptance speech...I like Christina Hendricks would also love to do a shot with her
  • I think Helen Mirren just beats out Glenn Close for the sexiest grandma
  • Morgan Freeman was chugging the vino during Kevin Bacon's speech
  • Did Maggie Gyllenhall just bust her way up on stage to talk about Haiti? They couldn't give her anything else to say?
  • They gave the Foreign Language award to Germany right after the nazi-killing movie montage?
  • Jane Lynch didnt' win!!! Worst let-down ever...I do love Chloe but come on......Jon is very pleased with Halle Berry's Dress Selection
  • "I like a drink as much as the next man, unless the next man is Mel Gibson." Best line of the year
  • THANK GOD GLEE WINS!! Hoorayyyyyy
  • They played Ed Helm's Doug song when The Hangover won...two wonderful things at one time
  • I don't know how to feel about Sandra Bullock winning Best Actress in a drama...but did enjoy her Maker's Mark joke...it even woke Harrison Ford up
  • The Dude wins best actor and gets a standing ovation...I kinda really want him as my friends
  • Avatar wins best picture and I have no idea who is gonna win the Oscar Races this year...all over the place

Golden Globes Runway Thoughts

Ryan Seacrest looks like he put on a few pounds and he never seems to know who is actually coming to the show.....downgrade.

How is this Jane Lynch's first awards show!!! Thank's Ryan for ruining it by showing the clip of the bird pooping on her head...what a dick

Lea Michele is the cutest person ever....huge friend crush starting. They cut her off for Sandra Bullock. Again...what a dick move to the cast of Glee

Penelope Cruz gets a big upgrade in my book for sticking around through the commercial break to talk about Haiti

Loved-
Kate Hudson
Chloe Sevigny from Big Love....don't care what the haters say
January Jones from Mad Men
Jenna Fischer from the Office
Christina Hendricks from Mad Men
Corey Monteith from Glee
Olivia Wilde from House

Hated-
Jennifer Morrison's hair....it looks like they attached a Cinnabun to back of her head
Patricia Arquette (she will forever be on my hate it list)
Drew Barrymore- can't get past that thing on her hip...would have loved it with just the shoulder bling
Tina Fey- uggg hate to say it...bad length for her

Golden Globes Tonight!!

I don't care what anybody says; I do and will always love awards shows! The runway, the montages, the history...I cannot get enough. I spend hours studying past Academy Award winners and nominees just for the hell of it. So I will not listen to any disparaging remarks about this perhaps cheesy obsession of mine.
That said...tonight awards season officially kicks off for me with the Golden Globes. I am going to attempt to blog my thoughts on the red carpet and ceremony tonight, if for no other reason than to prove that the Entertainment Weekly writers steal all of my best comments. Random Holiday Pics

Yet another reason I hate Comcast -

Speaking of Comcast- I believe I will make them the subject of my first rant. They have once again interfered with my beloved TIVO by making it impossible to watch anything besides the basic channels without their own box (that means no TNT, no USA, no BRAVO! = no Law & Order OR Top Chef marathons = unhappy Lindsey).
We finally broke down and got their box and what great service does it provide? It took 2 days for it to activate when it was suppose to only take 45 minutes; there is no guide to access so I am back to slowly flipping through channels; and there is no preview of what you are watching on each channel. What is this, 1999?
I am livid that they force you to switch-over to their products, and then provide incredibly sub-par service. Thus, I am keeping my TIVO next to my crappy new Comcast box in hopes that one day I will get my beloved features back again. Comcast definitely tops the list of Lindsey's greatest enemies.

Welcome Back....

On the advice of my good friend Jean, I have decided to re-start the Team Boehmke blog (formerly the Team ManBeef blog) while I am waiting for my Novocaine to wear off after my dental visit this morning. Just for clarification, it was the cancellation of my Comcast email account and my unwillingness to start all over again that brought Team Manbeef to a halt.

Anyway, New Year....new last name....new attempt to start this blog! Hoping to get at least a new update up each week so enjoy the antics, random thoughts, and pics of Lindsey, Jon, and Cash the Dog
